This headphone is part of a final run - the last 10 units ever made from exotic hardwood cups originally crafted during the shipibo.audio era. This pair features hand-finished Santos rosewood, prized for its rich tone and bold grain, giving the headphone not only a luxurious feel but also a slightly warmer, fuller sound than our standard walnut cups. Each unit is assembled, tuned, and tested in-house, using only premium components that have been tried, tested, and refined through years of community-driven development.
Built to perform - and to last
At its core lies the custom Symphones x Nyczaj dynamic driver, developed in collaboration with Symphones and based on their beloved (and now unavailable) V8 model - but enhanced with stronger magnets and upgraded diaphragm geometry. The result is a sound that’s punchy yet controlled, extended at both ends of the spectrum, with smooth treble and exceptional resolution. Paired with our Nyczaj EP01 earpads, the presentation is open, immersive, and fatigue-free - a headphone that handles everything from jazz to electronica with equal confidence.
Designed for real comfort
This model introduces my new asymmetric leather headband, padded with memory foam for unmatched daylong comfort. The headphone is held together by a newly designed angled aluminum headband system with custom gimbals and rodblocks - fitted with discreet 3.5 mm jacks for easy cable swaps and better ergonomics. Compared to any stock Grado, the comfort and stability here are on another level.
