Thanks to the simple installation process, within minutes you can bid farewell to cranky plastic parts and a stiff headband and welcome a whole new level of comfort and reliability.

This pre-assembled product bundle was created to make modding Grado's easier, faster and more affordable. It consists of our famous classic aluminum gimbals and rodblocks set, a regular-sized leather headband and a spring steel band that connects the two. Optionally, you can order it with our extremely comfortable earpads too.

All you have to do to install it is to remove the stock headband by pulling the gimbal pins out of the cups and sliding them off (paragraph 3 d) of our instruction manual). Then put the new headband in place, apply the threadlocker glue on the gimbal screws and screw them to the cups (paragraph 5 of the manual).
Gimbals and rodblocks were CNC machined from aluminum and anodized black. The rodblocks are fitted with the sliders and pressure screws that allow for precise vertical and horizontal adjustment, more resistance and smoother operation than the stock parts.
Headband was sewed from a genuine calfskin leather with soft memory foam padding, making it much softer and nicer to feel than the stock.
The optional earpads are made out of memory foam and an acoustically transparent fabric and are a huge improvement both in terms of comfort and sound. Their softness allows you to enjoy Grado Labs headphones for hours on end in an unparalleled comfort and the used materials enrich the Grado house sound with a hint of bass, while also expanding the soundstage.
Each set comes with the tools needed for the installation and a set of spare screws and sliders.
It is a 100% made in EU product. To ensure highest quality those parts are crafted entirely in my workshop, checked and tested for couple of days before I ship them to a lucky buyer – because of that it takes around a week for me to prepare and send them after the order is made. Please do bear in mind that even though I do my best and improve my methods and products with every batch, this is still a DIY product done in a home workshop, given that each set of parts is slightly different (almost exclusively in terms of looks) and subject to very minor imperfections (like tiny scratches or dents, mostly in hardly visible spots). Replacement was way better than the crappy stock plastic headband. Build quality is great and immediately noticeable. Clamping force was improved, as well as the headband padding which was not too thick. I feel like this headband was built with bigger heads in mind though, as there is about a two-finger gap between the side of my head and the sides of the headband, but it doesn't affect fit. Product didn't come with print instructions, nor a link to instructions, which either would be nice.
The build quality is absolutely exemplary in person. A huge improvement in terms of adjustment & feel. Headband cushion is super soft and comfy. Better still, if you have a big head like me and felt the stock rodblock was short, this is both longer and at a steeper angle for maximum fit. Small but thoughtful touches like this truly show the care gone into this. Only con I could point out is that it's a bit heavy and adds to the overall headphone weight - a worthy tradeoff considering the gains.
Wow! The gimbal and headband bundle really brought my SR80x to another level. I'm just impressed by how thoughtful the design and the quality of these parts are. These do add just a little bit more weight, which I really prefer, as my headphones don't feel like toys now. I also want to give a shout out to Przem, because I wanted to purchase this bundle with the slim gimbals instead of the classic, and he was so quick to respond and accommodating. Overall, amazing quality products and service!
